Thinking of Moving To Shongum Lake ??

 

Shongum Lake is truly a unique community.  In addition to the everyday beach activities from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, there are 10 social events annually including 3 beach picnics a year-Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day, a mid-summer campout on the beach as well as adult only events such as our signature Progressive Dinner and Adult Beach night.

During the swim season, there is a Shongum Lake Swim Team, swim classes for children and lifeguard training for teens.  For a nominal extra charge, there is a summer camp for members as well.  Fishing, boating and ice skating are also recreational activities allowed on the lake

Before you purchase your home, please be sure to check that the seller is current on Association dues. New members typically pay the current year's dues and an initiation fee. Under Section 7-8 of our by-laws, however, any new owner of a property that has fallen behind in dues must also pay back dues constituting 100% of any capital dues and special assessments as well as 30% of  any operating dues.
