2nd Second Annual Shongum Lake Labor Day Triathlon

On the morning of September 5, 2011, a field of 56 athletes participated in the 2nd annual Shongum Lake Triathlon. The age range of competitors was between 12 and 63 years old, with 13 female, and 43 male contestants. The race consisted of a chilly quarter mile swim in Shongum Lake; followed by a rugged and hilly 10 mile bike ride; and concluded with a 3.5 mile run around the lake. A round of applause goes out to all the participants, volunteers and spectators, with a special congratulations to the following winners:
