"We do not inherit the [lake] from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."

While we enjoy living and playing at the lake today, the impacts of our actions reverberate far beyond us. It is our responsibility to make the lake cleaner and healthier for the generations that come after us. In order to do this:

We must treat the lake with care and, given its current eutrophic state, work to restore it to a better place than how we found it.
We must do everything with the best interests of our children and future generations in mind.
We must teach all members of our community about the importance of restoring the lake and the steps we can take to protect the lake.
